A Dealer’s Table at GSFC consists of a space approximately 7’ square; by default this comes with one 6′ x 2.5′ table and two chairs. You can request up to 4 tables in your application, subject to space available. It is possible to omit either table or chairs depending on your setup requirements, but you must let us know ahead of time so that we can allow for this in our planning and communicate your request to the hotel. Please note that there is a ceiling height of 8’ in the Dealer’s Den room.

Electricity is not included by default, but must be purchased ahead of time — it cannot be added on site. This can be done when registering (recommended). If you need to add this after you have paid your registration, please contact the Den coordinator via email to discuss your options.

At this time, WiFi service is provided by the hotel. If other options are made available, we will communicate them through the GSFC Dealers Telegram chat.

Dealer Selection Process & Criteria

GSFC uses a juried system to select vendors for our Dealer's Den. Since this is a jury selection, there’s no need to rush. We are not operating on a first come, first served basis.

Dealers will be selected based on the following criteria in no specific order:

Products

The key to a successful den is a nice healthy balance of products offered. Selections will be made based on not only products offered, but quality of products as well. This will give our attendees the best variety possible.

Legacy Dealers

In order to prevent things from getting stale and wanting to continue to bring new life into the Dealer's Den, we strive to have a well balanced den with both our Legacy Dealers who have a positive history with the GSFC Community and fresh faces who will be featured in the GSFC Dealer's Den for the first time.

Fandom Reputation

GSFC reserves the right to refuse service to any dealer with a history of negative behavior, such as (but not limited to) failing to fulfill commissions, abuse of Staff or Attendees, threats of violence or abuse, or general poor behavior, whether online or in person.

Application Tips

Since this is a jury selection, take your time and in the words of the Great Head from Rick and Morty: "SHOW US WHAT YOU GOT!"

Be thorough and detailed. Think of this as an interview, and this is the way we get a chance to get to know you.

Dealer’s Den Rules & Regulations

This agreement is made between GOLDEN STATE FUR CON (GSFC) and DEALER. DEALER is defined as an individual or business selling wares in the Dealer's Den. Payment of a table at GSFC indicates the dealer has read and accepted this Terms of Service.

Authorized Sales Only

Only persons or businesses approved as "Dealers" may be permitted to sell wares in the Dealer's Room at GSFC. Anyone found exchanging money for goods or services at the event without an approved Dealer badge will have their badge revoked and be removed from the convention.

Tax ID Required

Dealers must hold a current and valid California Sales Tax ID. This tax ID is required during den setup—we will check this when you arrive at GSFC and check into the Dealer's Den at Dealer Services. Dealers are responsible for filing sales and use tax returns in accordance with California State Law.

Dealer's Badge Required for Entry During Non-Public Hours

The Dealer's Den will be made available to dealers and assistants during set up and take down, as well as before and after the Dealer's Den opens to the public daily. Only those attendees with badges that bear the "Dealer" mark are permitted into the Dealer's Den outside of non-public hours.

Acceptable Merchandise

All merchandise sold or displayed by dealers must be in accordance with local, state, and federal laws.

The sale of AI generated artwork, artwork with AI generation included, or merchandise produced from AI generated art is prohibited. AI artwork is defined by AEI as artwork or artwork elements that are generated by an artificial intelligence program that has been trained on other artists' work without their permission. AI generation does NOT include tools such as content-aware fill or other software-based features available within commercial drawing programs such as (but not limited to) Photoshop or SAI. This measure is to prevent the sale and/or promotion of any goods or services that profit off of the theft of another artist's work.

GSFC does not permit dealers to display any sexually charged merchandise to the public, except within the 18+ Dealer's Den area. Merchandise displayed OUTSIDE the 18+ Dealer's Den area must be hidden away (such as in an "Adults Only" binder), or censored (any graphics with genitals or breasts uncovered must be covered by a post-it note or other obscuring material).

Dealers are required to check the IDs of any customers interested in viewing or purchasing the adult merchandise to ensure the customer is at least eighteen years old.

Displays in the main Dealer's Den should be "PG" rated—remember, minors are in attendance at our convention. Dealers may be asked to adjust or change censoring of merchandise by Dealer's Den staff at their sole discretion—these requests are non-negotiable.

Note: the above display rules do not apply within the 18+ Dealer's Den area– all persons entering this area will have been age-verified at the entrance.

No Smoking or Vaping Allowed in the Dealer's Room

No Horseplay or Loud Music/Distractions

Please don't be overly loud or cause a disturbance to your neighbors. If you witness a dealer causing a disturbance, please report it to the Dealer's Den staff.

All Decisions by the Lead are Final

Decisions made by the Dealer's Den Lead are final. If you disagree with a ruling made by a member of Dealer's Den Staff that is not the Lead, you may bring your grievance to the Dealer's Den Lead for consideration. The Dealer's Den Lead reserves the right to revoke dealer's status, dealer's assistant status, registration badge, or evict a dealer for activities that violate this Terms and Conditions document, at any time, for any reason.

Payment Due Date

Payments for tables are due within 30 days of invoice receipt*. Dealers who have not paid by this time will be removed from the accepted list, and an appropriate waiting list dealer will be selected to take their place.

Wait List

Dealers who are not selected for the initial waves of acceptance will be offered the chance to be placed on a wait list. This list is NOT in first-come first-served order. Dealers will be selected off this waitlist in whichever order as needed to maintain den mix and overall product selection at GSFC's sole discretion.

Refunds

Dealers choosing to cancel their attendance/space must submit their refund request 30 days before the event. Table costs will be refunded in full if the request is put in on or before that date. After that date, the table is non-refundable, but rollovers to the next year’s convention are possible. Contact the Dealer's Den coordinator for more information.

*In regards to table payment, if payment can't be made within the timeframe, arrangements can be made within reason. Please reach out to the head of the den BEFORE the payment deadline.

Code of Conduct

All dealers also agree to follow our Code of Conduct.
